Book: Secret Lakes of Southern Vancouver Island

Secret Lakes of Southern Vancouver Island is a non-fiction guidebook published in June of 2012 by Ungstad Information Architects. Writing a book is by no means a small project, and involves the input of many different experts – exactly the kind of project we are best at.

Adam Ungstad researched and wrote the book between 2011-2012, and it hit the shelves just as people were hitting the beach.  The book is 152 pages long and includes photographs, maps, directions,  top ten lists, reference tables, plenty of history and fascinating trivia.  It has been very well received, and was designed to be just as useful in the glove box as on the coffee table.

To date nearly 2,500 copies have been sold, and the book can be found at libraries like the Greater Victoria Public Library and the Vancouver Public Library.

Secret Lakes is currently distributed by Heritage Group Distribution and is available at  Chapters, independent bookstores in Victoria like Bolen’s Books, and of course amazon.ca.

Ungstad Information Architects also did the design and build for www.secretlakes.ca.
